Gene McLaren

Having a well-rounded skillset across metalwork, woodwork, and technical drawing, owner Gene turned his passion into a career by becoming a Pattern Maker apprentice at a local steel foundry, which included training at RMIT in Melbourne.

In the process of honing his craft, he learned every skill imaginable, using timber, steel, and fibre glass to make intricate three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional engineer’s drawings. A true artisan, his skill set reflects many years of training in a wide range of disciplines, adding real craftsmanship to local manufacturing.
